De heer Blumensohn is de eerste persoon die ingeschreven werd in het kamp (in september 1939!). Hij spande zich enorm in om de kinderen in Westerbork te vermaken. Blumensohn was jeugdleider en hij is afgebeeld op de beroemde foto van de verlichting van de Hannukkah lamp in een van de barakken. Gefilmd op 10 september 1989 in zijn huis in Israël.
