De geïnterviewde Carla van Delft is zelf wel eens op de Joodse markt in de Gaaspstraat, die exclusief voor joden bedoeld was, geweest. Ze vertelt over haar indruk hiervan, maar ook hoe haar ouders samen met een andere familie zich verstopten in een gat in de muur tijdens de oorlog. Met behulp van deze alternatieve 'onderduik' hebben ze de oorlog overleefd.
