Auschwitz survivor remembers. Mrs. Sopie Henriks. A survivor of the notorious Nazi Auschwitz "Death Camp" who still bears an identification number tattooed on het left forearm, looks at a picture on display at the west Berlin Jewish Community Centre of Documents on the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. This picture was taken on April 19, which marked the 2th anniversary of the start of the uprising. Mrs. Henriks was taken to Auschwitz when she was only 19 years of age. She was liberated in 1945 and returned to her native Berlin. Number on her arm is plainly visible in Photo (it is 8972).
