Scope and Content
The first page of this file consists of an empty index page with Schmitt's personal data and the reference number of his file at the SD Hauptamt. The second page is a note dated 15.08.1936 from SD Hauptamt, Central department II 2, [led by Reinhard Höhn] with the header "An Stbf. mit der Bitte um Vorlage bei C." (To Storm Unit Leader with request for submission to C."), but it remains unknown, who "C." is. It's subject matter is Schmitts connection to the Greater-Yugoslavian Movement. Carl Schmitt's wife, a Serb, founded a German-Yugoslavian association together with Mr. Iubenoff, a Bulgarian. Both are known to support Greater-Yugoslavian ideologies. Mr. Schmitt also is in close contact with leading Serbs. Proposal to keep Mr. Iubbenoff's mail and telephone under surveillance in order to find out about the circle of supporters and to which extent communistic elements are involved. The note has handwritten remarks and numbers added to it, which are hardly readable.
