Scope and Content
Report about a lecture by Prof. Carl Schmitt about "Walter Jelinek as a Jew" at the "Reichfachschaftslager" of the law students. According to the account his talk dealt with Jewish influence in legal doctrine, was not well prepared and lacked in objectivity. The students showed a kind of passive resistance by not listening properly and changing the subject to the question of the influence of political Catholicism in legal doctrine. Schmitt, knowing that the question was directed specifically against him, reacted in an evasive way, which only led to a even worse discussion with Mr. Königsber ("Fachschaftsleiter" of the jurists) and Comrad Lemmel setting themselves apart in contributions. At this point there was a discontinuationof the event due to technical reasons and once resumed, the discussion was not picked up from where it had stopped, as Prof. Schmitt and Comrad Lemmel had settled the subject matter in a personal talk in the meantime.
