United Restitution Organization (URO)

The file contains eight circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) ranging between February and April 1964. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1217, no. 1219, no. 1218, no. 1215, no. 1211, no. 1209, no. 1208, and no. 1207. They mainly deal with recent court judgements on questions of restitution, especially regarding juridical regulations and procedures, professional damages following Nazi persecution, the definition and the condition of people who were expelled (“Vertriebene”), and on damage to the personal freedom.
