Scope and Content
The file contains the issues no. 11 and no. 12 of the URO News, the circular of the United Restitution Office (URO), published in August 1950 and December 1950. The issues no. 11 and no. 12 present law texts on the right to compensation for children, for deportees and for Émigrés as well as other law texts regarding the restitution, current juridical cases and regulations on restitution matters in the Federal Republic of Germany and its various Allied-occupied zones. Both issues close with expert reports on restitution files and bibliographical information on recent literature on restitution matters. The URO News are mainly written in German, but might also contain parts written in English.
