Scope and Content

The file contains the letter of accusation and the verdicts of the perpetrators mentioned in the following list who were found guilty of helping communist Enemies of the Reich in several ways. Defendant (name, birth place and birth date) – accusation: Vinzenz Bilek (born on 17 July 1915 in Lapanz) – sabotage; Jaromir Kalina (born on 29 March 1909 in Prague) – sabotage; Adolf Sterner (born on 3 June 1920 in Prague) – sabotage; Zdenek Stiebitz (born on 11 January 1918) – possession of illegal weapons and ammunition; Johann Zapotocky (born on 24 March 1898 in Prague) – accommodation of enemies of the Reich; Anna Zapotocky (born on 11 July 1889 in Polna) – accommodation of enemies of the Reich; Cenek Formanek (born on 25 June 1913 in Szegedin) – theft and cooperation with enemies of the Reich; Julius Rostik (born on 22 November 1916 in Prague) – theft and cooperation with enemies of the Reich; Emanuel Kurka (born on 6 December 1908 in Kuttenberg) – sabotage; Andela Kurka (born on 21 April 1907 in Birnbaum) – n.a.; Johann Polak (born on 26 August 1894 in Hlubosch) – possession of illegal weapons and ammunition. Vinzenz Bilek acted as link between the accused and the illegal Czech Communist Party KCP. He provided party members and assassins with illegal weapons (most co-defendants were found guilty of supplying Vinzenz Bilek and thus the communist party with these). All but Andela Kurka (five years in a penitentiary) were sentenced to death.
