Scope and Content
The file includes excerpts from Nazi periodicals commenting on US President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The first report from 1936 informs about the victory of President Roosevelt and the consequences for his second term in office. It portrays the president and his policies in a positive light. The other articles are from 1939, most of them published in reaction to president Roosevelt's cable to Adolf Hitler. They are highly critical and mock US policy and its president.
