German war guilt
Extent and Medium
2 electronic resources (5, 1 pages)
Scope and Content
The file contains quotations from Nazi newspapers, mainly by Adolf Hitler. In an excerpt from a letter to Prime Minister Daladier, Hitler demands the return of the city of Danzig and its corridor to Germany. A quotation from Hitler's war speech in November 1940 stresses Great Britain's need for the declaration of war in 1939. Hitler argues that the British with their peace efforts were just biding their time, and were determined to declare war at a future date. Each quotation list the date, publication, and sometimes the author
