Scope and Content

The file is a compilation of German newspaper reports and quotes from books about British rule in India. On the one hand it is supportive of British colonial rule as a necessity to bring stability and maintain white superiority, on the other hand it criticizes the use of excessive force. This is mainly done to blame Great Britain's "double standard" when it accuses Nazi Germany of atrocities. It highlights the Amritsar massacre of 1919 and the role of Michael O'Dwyer It also questions Mahatma Gandhi's views on non-violent resistance after he urged German Jews to passively resist expulsion from Germany.
