Scope and Content
The files contain information about the condition of the black-coated workers in Nazi Germany before and since the outbreak of the war. Conditions worsened especially after the outbreak of war in 1939. Employees were required to work more hours without receiving increased wages. On the contrary, in 1939 an additional tax was introduced which amounted to 50% of the income tax. Furthermore, after 1939 employees were not allowed to change work place without a permission of the Labor office.
