Scope and Content
The file contains five circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) from November and December 1970. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1689, no. 1688, no. 1687, no. 1686, and no. 1684.They mainly deal with recent court judgements made by the German Federal Court (Bundesgerichtshof) on questions of restitution after Nazi persecution, especially regarding juridical regulations for professional damages and the proceedings for the calculation of claims, for action against inactivity (Untätigkeitsklage), and for new applications. The topics include: „Untätigkeitsklage und Angleichung“, „Neuantragsrecht“, „Berufsschaden, hier: Anfechtung eines Vergleichs und Rentenwahl“, „Bestimmung des Hundertsatzes“, Berufsschaden, hier: Neuantrag nach SchlußG.
