Scope and Content
This file is a collection of handwritten and typed documents of the Perls family. Most of the documents concern Leopold Perls, an officer in the Prussian Imperial army in the 19th century. The documents are dated between 1830 to 1939. The family lived in Danzig. The documents consist of army records, Leopold's promotion to 2nd lieutenant in Versailles 1870 and his honorary membership in the army regiment Graf Dönhoff. Finally there is a letter of recommendation for Max and Else Perls by the Reichassociation of Jews in Germany (Reichsvereinigung) written in the thirties.
