Extent and Medium
1 electronic resource (40 pages)
Creator(s)
- Ostland. Reichskommissariat (author)
Scope and Content
The file is the second part of two files containing documents on the persecution of Jews in the territories of Eastern Europe occupied by Nazi Germany in 1941 and 1942. The documents include the correspondence between the various German representatives of the so-called “Reichskommissariat Ostland” in the occupied territories of the Baltic States and the region of “Weißruthenien”. The letters, guidelines, and circulars mainly deal with complaints of the Wehrmacht regarding missing Jewish workers, with the treatment of Jews in the “Reichskommissariat Ostland”, with the conflicts between the SS and the administration of the Occupied Eastern Territories, and with the deportation of Jews. Some documents are of poor quality.
