Scope and Content
The file contains the copy of the first part of Otto Bräutigam’s handwritten diary started in June 1941 a few days before the attack of Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union in World War II. The first entry of this copy dates from June 14, 1941 and deals with his work at the so-called “Dienststelle Rosenberg” for the Occupied Eastern Territories. The last entry of this file dates from September 30, 1941, describing a visit at the private property of Hermann Göring in East Prussia. This first copy of the diary mainly deals with the first weeks of the war against the Soviet Union.
