The file contains correspondence and various documents of Dr. Albert B. Belton/Béla Berend regarding the role of Cardinal Jószef Mindszenty during the Holocaust in Hungary. The file contains a letter of Albert B. Belton written to the Wiener Library in London in 1975 in which he asks to file the attached material in the Library’s archives. Among the documents he sent to the Wiener Library are his book review on Jószef Mindszenty’s memoirs published in “The Detroit Jewish News”, a typewritten version of 6 pages of his book review in English, his correspondence with the press regarding Mindszenty’s past, a copy of a telegram by SS Officer Edmund Veesenmayer, as well as newspaper clippings on Belton’s role during the Eichmann Trial.
