Scope and Content
The file contains three publications on the current situation regarding Anti-Semitism in the United States published by the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League between 1977 and 1981. The first document is a typewritten report of 12 pages on the rise of Nazi organizations in the United States written by Milton Ellerin and published by the Trends Analyses Division of the American Jewish Committee’s Domestic Affairs Department in November 1977. The second document is another report from the series “Trends Analyses”, entitled “Anti-Semitism in America: A Balance Sheet”. It deals with the rise of Anti-Semitic incidents in the United States and was prepared by Alisa H. Kesten, Milton Ellerin and Sonya Kaufer for the the Discrimination Division of the American Jewish Committee’s Domestic Affairs Division in 1981. The third document is one issue of “Facts”, published by the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith in June 1980 on the Anti-Semitism and Holocaust Revisionism of the far right organization “Liberty Lobby”, its newspaper “Spotlight” and its editor Willis A. Carto.
