Scope and Content

The file contains the verdict of Karl Schachtner (born on 13 May 1896 in Eger), a man from Cheb(German: Eger). The defendant worked at the post office where he had to inspect and sort letters and packages. The defendant continuously misappropriated a large number of packages. Furthermore, he tried to bribe an official to avoid an investigation. Schachtner was sentenced to death in 1944.
