Scope and Content

The file contains the verdicts of 8 men and women from the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The defendants Friedrich Podsedek (born on 18 March 1906 in Unter-Loucka), Jaromir Malý (born on 13 April 1902 in Siluvka), Cäcilie Barák (born on 16 May 1902 in Brno), Johann Mizera (born on 7 August 1901 in Latein bei Brünn) and Johann Sabora (born on 22 December 1895 in Brno) were considered dangerous habitual offenders as they repeatedly committed aggravated theft. Furthermore, they had already been convicted of theft before. For their crimes all the defendants were sentenced to death in 1942. Marie Podsedek (born on 8 June 1909 in Blaschowitz) was found guilty of continuous aggravated theft and sentenced to six years of penitentiary. Walter (born on 21 March 1913 in Mähr. Ostrau) and Marie Kunz (born on 8 June 1911 in Brno) repeatedly bought stolen items from the Podsedeks. They were found guilty of receiving stolen goods and were each sentenced to three years of penitentiary.
