Scope and Content

The file contains the verdicts of 11 men and women from the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. All the defendants were accused of having supported and given shelter to enemies of the state. The defendants helped Ulman, Lavicky, Metelka and Zeman who took part in the Anti-Nazi movement, working with the illegal Communist Party Austria. Furthermore, the defendants were aware that these men were wanted by the police. Josef Pitin (born on 8 December 1893 in Sniet), Anna Pitin, Marie Hladik (the older), Josef Hladik, Marie Hladik (the younger), Rudolf Kodejš, Otakar Novák, Heinrich Šikola, Karl Mařatka and Marie Zeman were sentenced to death. Marie Schrötr was sentenced to six years of penitentiary.
