Scope and Content

The file contains the verdict of Jan Paradowski (born on 25 October 1898 in Korzeniowka), a Polish man. The defendant was stopped by two German men and asked for identification. He declined and was therefore slapped in the face by one of the men. Paradowski responded by punching him as well. Finally, after the other man had also slapped Paradowski, he showed his identification card. The defendant was accused of having harmed the prestige of the German people. Paradowski was found guilty and sentenced to death. He was executed in 1942.
