The file contains several documents concerning the persecutions of Jews in Russia respectively the Soviet Union. Furthermore it contains documents regarding the relations of Israel with the Soviet Union. Several statements in 1953 from countries such as China, Holland, Dominican Republic, Israel and others explain how important it is to remember that millions of Jews were tortured and murdered in the Soviet Union during the war. And that the UN as well as every other state needs to make sure that Jews are save all over the world. It it relevant to ensure international peace and friendship and Antisemitism, also as an instrument of policy, must be fought. The statements further point out, that antisemitism became the order of the day in international Communism. In campaigns of defamation against Jews the Soviet Union and its Satellites tried to make the world believe that it was not a racial campaign but merely anti-Zionist, so the statement of Panama declares. In addition Translations of Newspaper articles appearing in Israel Newspaper 'Ma'Arriv' on Friday 10th of March 1972 are attached. The article deals with negotiations for the renewal of Diplomatic relations between Israel and the Soviet Union in 1953.
