Scope and Content

Handwritten and typed letters of Jonak von Freyenwald to Toedli from 1936. They concern payments that Jonak requested from Fleischhauer for Toedtli. The money is for a booklet about the Zeugen Jehovas (Jehovah's Witnesses). The letters reveal that Erfurt is behind the campaign against the Zeugen Jehovas and also conducts the trial Toedtli vs. Zeugen Jehovas although Ruef is officially the lawyer of Toedtli. Freyenwald attached to one letter a letter of priest Kupsch that praises the work of Freyenwald about the Zeugen Jehovas.
