The file contains a collection of informations reagarding post-war Europe by Paul Anderson. Paul Anderson wrote reports based on his experiences in several European countries. After the war he visited (working class) families from all over Europe, talked to them, got an imgage of their homes and their lifes. Mostly how their lifes had changed after the war regardless of their social background. In this file reports are contained concering England, France, Sweden, Spain, Ireland, Yugoslavia and Italy. It can be seen, depending from which country the interviewees are from, that the social and economic situation differ from each other. Furthermore scripts for a radio show written by Peter Petersen, the pseudonym of Paul Anderson, can be seen. In this he covers political topics as well as some stories based on his reports about the lives of people abroad after the war. At the beginning of the scripts some political based questions will be asked, which he will later answer. It is further constructed like a conversation, where a lot of people with different accents, oppinions and occupations will have argues about political topics or refering to their lifes, in this case based on the reports of Anderson. In addition a radio script based on the life and actions of Joan Omer Marie Gabriel Monnet is attached. In small chapters his live as a French political economist and diplomat and an influential supporter of European unity, he is considered as one of the founding fathers of the European Union, is explained. Jean Monnet has been called “The Father of Europe” by those who see his innovative and pioneering efforts in the 1950s as the key to establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, the predecessor of today’s European Union.
