Scope and Content

The file contains several reports and letters regarding the N.S. Government from 1936 till 1940. The reports are based on informations of newspaper articles from Germany. These informations have been interpreted, resumed and amplified in the reports. The reports allow the reader to look at the situation in Germany closly. Informations about the harvest have been given, including interpretations about future food shortage, expected deficiency diseases, supply disruptions and animal feedstuff. Besides informations about German businesses and forced labour based on several German newspaper can be read, for example Frankfurter Zeitung, Dresdner Anzeiger, Der neue Tag, Nationale Zeitung, Berliner Börsenzeitung, et cetera. Furthermore press information in Germany has been criticaly questioned. For example the German-Russian economic agreement has been discussed a lot in the German media, but as the reports show, without giving informations about it, just using it as a propaganda tool. Also false informations about the treatment of prisoners, victories and other topics have been discussed in the report. The German media spreaded false informations to quieten the nation down and to justify its behavior. The reports interprete and resume during this 4 years the informations the German media is publishing. The authors compare the informations during the years and got to new assumptions.
