Various documents. Bela Berend was a Hungarian rabbi in the Budapest Ghetto accused of collaborating with Germans during WWII. Trial: 1947-8 in Hungary. Acquitted. Emigrated to the USA and changed name to Belton, Albert B. Documets include pictures of the rabbi. Some documents refer to his trial and some other documents to libel suits. The documets are letters, testimonies, newspaper articles. A proclamation of december 1944 to hold worship services. Among the documents various letter exchanges between Albert B. Belton and high ranking politicians and militaries about supporting Israel. Documents that witness interfaith activities of Belton in the US.
