Scope and Content

The file contains several information regarding the Moral Re-Armament (MRA), founded by Dr. Buchman in 1938. Newspaper articels from different years reporting about activities all over the world regarding the organisation, its ideas and aditional projects, are attached. MRA was an international moral and spiritual movement that, in 1938, developed from American minister Frank Buchman's Oxford Group. Furthermore projects for spreading the idea of the organisation are explained in newspaper articels, for example a theater play, "The island which disappear" played in Norway. The theater was giving a vision of how the world could become if the people would follow the Moral Re-Armament, the criticis where excellent. All the actors were volunteering for this play, as they wanted to bring a new thinking and understanding of the world to the people. In addition reports of an international meeting in Olso, where delegates, ministers and other important people participated, can be read. They belived that the organization was capable of renewing the attitudes of the worker and the world itself. The newpapers published articels about this meeting with titles like 'we are fighting for a revolution of the individual', or 'the revolution of peace has to start with a change of the people'. Besides articels have been published informing about important figueres in the MRA like Duncan Davidson, Mr. Azikiwe and Mr. Evert Kupers.
