Scope and Content

The file contains informations about organisations, parties and a Jewish radio station established after World War 2. The documents show several examples how organisation in Great Britain tried to improve the society, how to work against the fascistic and Anti-semitic movement. Parties have been established, as the 'decleration of English liberties' show, documents have been published concerning anti-semitic journals and parties. A leaflet can be seen, which shows recent police court cases where the jurisdiction behaved anti-semitic. Several Newspapers respondet on that in a way, that made clear, that everyone should be treated the same in England and that beeing Englisch means beeing fair and observing the law. As it was published: "sound advice to the fascists; the Jews are as much entitled to live as you are." Furthermore documents about the establishment of a Jewish radio station are attached. The document explains that the radio was used for propaganda against the Jews and this is why it should be used now for the promotion of a intellectual and moral macroculture. This is why there should be the radio station to fulfill the duty of clarification of facts of the Jewish faith. Some documents are regarding the infuriation of the British people with the mismanagement of the British Labour Government. After the war the shortages were even worse than they were at the height of the national effort.
