Scope and Content
The file contains several informations on labour matters published by different newspapers in the years of 1934 till 1939. Several informations, booklets and leaflets about social security and leisure programmes which were started, canteens, breaks, and regular working times which were established can be seen. For example regulations on social and health insurance, besides minimum requirement to youth employment, youth protection and apprenticeship, salary and vacancy regulations are presented in the files. For further explanations the 'Deutsche Arbeitsfront, DAF' (German Labour Front) published reference books, set up as a tool to promote the function of National Socialism to the people. The leader of the 'Deutsche Arbeitsfront' Robert Ley published an appeal adressing the businesses to buy those reference books. Under the leadership of Robert Ley the 'DAF' published also several booklets to guide the companies and also gave them instructions how to lead their companies. Furthermore it gave them the oportunities to spy on the companies and their employees. Offically in charge of all labour related and social regulations in the Third Reich, it served in fact as spy- and political-, educationorganization at the working place.
