Scope and Content
The file contains a correspondence between Deutscher Fichte-Bund and Anglo-German Information service. The Fichte-Association was founded in January 1914 in memory of the German philosopher Fichte. It was used for the distribution of foreign propaganda. As the slogan says: 'Serves the cause of peace and understanding by giving free information about the New Germany, direct from the source.' The correspondence between these two organizations is about the distribution of German publications, leaflets and informations of the truth concerning 'New Germany'. Continuing publications by Heinrich Kessmeier, the president of the Deutsche Fichte-Bund, were published in addition to standard propaganda. He distributed translations of major speeches of Hitler, Goebbels, Rosenberg and other key National Socialist figures to interested parties around the world.
