The file contains letters letter that were sent to Hertha Herzstein (once from Duisburg) in Amsterdam. They're all handwritten. One is a letter of Ferdinand Nathan (once from Duisburg) who writes on April, 30th 1942 from the camp Izbica near Lublin and urgently asks for cloths and food. One letter is from a 82 year old who is facing deportation to Theresienstadt. Several long letters of Rabbi Dr. Manass Neumark, written between 1940 and 1942.
