Scope and Content
The file contains a correspondence between Dr. Theodor Heckel and Julius Emanuel Stahn. Dr. Heckel was a German Protestant theologian and bishop. From 1928 he was the head of the External Church Relations Office of the German Protestant Church (DEK). Dr. Stahn was working for the 'Reichsministerium for church affairs' (Reichsministerium für die Kirchlichen Angelegenheiten). The topic of the correspondence was a donation of Adolf Hitler for the german evangelical foreign work in Palestine. Dr. Stahn asked Dr. Heckel to write a letters of thanks and to forward it to the Reichsminister.
