The file contains personal paper of one Dr. Thomas Schäfer, A German jurist during the Nationalsocialist period. Among the papers are invoices and bills for contractor work on his personal residence as well as extensive correspondence with the president of the Reichsgericht,Erwin Bumke, the highest court in Germany, located in Leipzig. A multitude of the correspondence also deals with an inheritance case that Schäfer was involved in and for which solution he often asked for advice or favors from the president of the Reichsgericht.
