Scope and Content
The file contains several announcements of the german 'Generalgouverneurs' printed in different Newspapers. The "Krakauer Zeitung", the "Warschauer Zeitung" and the "Nationale Zeitung" publishing new regulations for Jews in Poland in the years of 1939 and 1940. Restrictions mentioned in the articles are, among other things, that Jews have to stay among each others and are not allowed to use specific public places anymore, a dusk-to-dawn curfew and compulsary labor. Furthermore new authorities for the regulation of public life and delivering documents for Jews were settled in Poland. Besides that the deportation of Jews from Austria to Poland is mentioned in the articles. The Scandinavian Press points out that keeping up appearances of the relocation of Jews to Poland would be by their own choice is getting harder for the Nazis, as resistance by Jews have been seen.
