The file contains a report by a journalist about the situation in the Polish part of Lithuania under the occupation of the Nazis at the end of 1941 and the beginning of 1942. But he also gives informations about the time before the Nazi occupation in 1941. The Polish part of Lithuania was occupied by the Bolsheviks from 1939. During the occupation by the Bolsheviks, the majority of the Jews sympathized with the Bolsheviks and were not persecuted. It was after the invasion of the Nazis that terrible extermination were launched against the Jews. The Lithuanians were particularly keen to act against the Jews, according to informations, they murdered hundreds of thousands in the Lwów Ghetto. Furthermore informations are given, concerning continuing exterminations of Jews in Poland and Ukraine. The journalist gives detailed information about the Lwów Ghetto in Ukraine, Janowska and Lublin concentration camps in Poland. He also gives an overview of the circumstances and treatments of Jews in Krakow and Bełżec.
