[Aryanisation preceedings of the Jewish owned department store "Roman Emperor" in Erfurt, Thuringia]
Extent and Medium
1 electronic resource (60 pages)
Scope and Content
The file contains the efforts undertaken (in form of correspondence and behind the scenes debate) between different political entities of the NSDAP (Nazi party) in the Thuringian city of Erfurt, to disenfranchise and disposess the Jewish owners of a department store, called "Roman Emperor", in the city centre. Moreover the discussion between the different entities contains an atypical argument for such cases, meaning that aryanisation and thereby dispossession of the Jewish owners is only advised in case the department store has a commerically viable future under a new aryan owner.
