Scope and Content
The Jewish community of Italy is ancient and mostly fully assimilated into Italian society. High positions within the state and political parties have been occupied by Jewish citizens and demonstrate the degree of integration. The advent of fascism and the political alliance with national socialist Germany, lead to the complete disenfranchisement and discrimination of the Italian Jewry.
