Scope and Content

The Irgun Ole' Italia seeks to address the Italian Jewry around the world and especially those who have succeeded in making their way to Israel during the war on the sanctity of Hanukkah and the deeper meaning of the Hanukkah story and its contemporary relevance in the face of the catastrophe of the war. Irgun Ole' lists the numbers of pre and post war Italian immigrants to Israel and their fields of occupation, among them agriculture and industrial occupations filled with Italian Olim. Others work as doctors, professors and academic professionals in the universities and private practices within various cities of British Palestine. Irgun Ole' addresses the Italian Jewry worldwide and urges them to immigrate to Israel, but also to stay safe in their residence as far as possible and to survive the war.
