Scope and Content

The file contains a collections of anti-Semitic reports and correspondences relating to the Bern trial, by the Notgemeinschaft Deutscher Wissenschaftler and other involved parties from 1935. The Notgemeinschaft Deutscher Wissenschaftler im Ausland (society of scientists in danger) corresponded with several people and with the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities regarding Jewish and non-Aryan scientist in Germany and abroad. A list from 1931 concerning history academics at German Universities is attached. Furthermore court relevant topics, the assumption of costs and payments are discussed by Saly Mayer, Boris Lifschitz, C.A Loosli, Oscar Meyer, the Jewish Agency for Palestine and others. Also Fleischhauer, as an expert for the Bern trial and as an anti-Semite in his private life, is a topic in many letters. Opportunities to condemn Fleischhauer due to misjudgment and his false expert opinion are discussed. Additionally material concerning the Protocols of the Wise man of Zion and the Talmud is collected in several countries and discussed in those letters. Furthermore opinions and information published in several newspapers like the Times have been analyzed and categorized. Handwritten letters, pictures and private correspondences are attached.
