Scope and Content
The document is a statement issued by Henry Ford concerning the publication of pamphlets titled The International Jew, and referring to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, in the Dearborn Independent. Ford states that the publications work without detailed supervision from him, and, as such, he is not aware of the contents of every published pamphlet. He expresses regret and mortification concerning the anti-Semitic nature of these pamphlets, and states that they will be taken out of circulation and reparations be made. The documents come with authorization for the statement on a front page.
