Scope and Content
The file contains an article about the authenticity of the “Protocols of the Wise Men of Zion”, from the newspaper “Journal de Chateau-d’Oex” (?) [dated to the 17th July 1934]. The article reports about a trial directed by two Jewish personas, Mr. J. Dreyfus-Brodsky and Mr. Marcus Cohn, against Dr. Zander, the editor of “Eiserne Besen “who had written an article about the authenticity of the Protocols. The article brings quotations from the Protocols and states they are based upon the rules of the Talmud. It raises against the newspaper “La Suisse liberale” which affirms the Protocols are a plagiarism of a Russian text signed by Nilus and published in 1905. It also quotes an article from “Times” which states the Protocols are a copy of a book published in 1864 by Maurice Joly against Napoleon III, “Dialogue aux enfers entre Machiavel et Montesquieu“.The article goes on quoting Mr. W. Crentz brochure “Les Protocoles des Sages de Sion. Leur authenticite“ and bringing faked facts about Maurice Joly, the Parisian revolution known as la “Commune“, another Jewish author Jacob Venedey, Baruch Levy and Rabbi Reichhorn, in order to prove the Jewish roots of the Protocols.
