Strafsache ca. Herrn C.A. Loosli wegen Abgabe eines falschen Expertenbefundes
Extent and Medium
3 electronic resources (102 pages)
Scope and Content
The file contains reports regarding Loosli's false expertise statement for the Bern Trial. In detail his expertise is discussed and witness reports questioned. He was accused of manipulating dates and facts, as well as leaving main literature and informations out of focus. In 1927, Loosli's book 'The Bad Jews!' was published, where he tried to speak out against Antisemitism. But the Jewish lawyer David Color Stone from Zurich argued that the title was questionable and also criticized Loosli's wish for an assimilation of the Jewish population because he feared that this option would lead to the abandonment of Jewish identity. Nevertheless Looslis writing 'The bad Jews!' qualified him as an expert in the 1935 trial conducted in Bern to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Although he demanded at that time that the denigration of the Jews, like that of every minority, should be forbidden by law, he saw in the "Jewish question " a real "social evil".
