Extent and Medium
1 electronic resource (8 pages)
Scope and Content
The file contains a newspaper clipping of 'Gerechtigkeit- Gegen Rassenhass und Menschennot' ('Justice- against racial hatred'), published by Irene Harald in Vienna, Austria 1934. Irene Harand was an Austrian author and political activist, who was especially known as an opponent of National Socialism. In 1933 Harand founded the "World Movement Against Racial Hate and the Maniac," which became known as the "Harand Movement" and appeared as an antithesis to the NSDAP "Hitler Movement." Between 1933 and 1938, the "Harand Movement" had several thousand members and local groups in many European countries. Its mouthpiece was the weekly paper 'Justice', which appeared from 1933 to 1938 in an edition of about 28,000 copies - for a short time also in Polish and French. In the edition attached to this file the newspaper informs about the lies and propaganda of the Nazis against the Jewry. An other article reports about the brave behaviour of Jewish soldiers in World War one, what their officers thought about them and that the lies about their cowardice where an invention by the Nazis. More statements regarding the propaganda of Hitler-Germany and explanations for the anti-Semitic lies and arguments against it can be seen.
