Extent and Medium
1 electronic resource (21 pages)
Scope and Content
The file contain a newspaper clipping of 'Die neue Freie Presse' 1925 concerning the secrets of the 'Protocols of the Wise man of Zion' by Dr. jur. Levy. On 20 pages he wrote about the spreading, publishing and power of the 'protocols', that barely any other paper spread around the world so quickly and found so many people who believed eventhough it was already proven as a forgery. In his articles he illustrate where the 'Protocols' have been distributed, translated into several languages and presented to many important people. He shows in detail who published and distributed the 'protocols' in which country, for example in the second edition of Nilus book in Russia and later, in German by Gottfried zu Beck in 1919 and the second edition in 1924 by Theodor Fritsch. But Levy is not just showing the development of the 'protocols' but also uncovers mistatkes and obvious forgery passages. He also compares quotes from several editions of the 'Protocols' as well as with the original book of Maurice Joly and proves by that, that the quotes were fake and also differ a lot in many editions and in translations but at the same time are mostly very comparable with the work of Joly. Furthermore he questions the allerged and imputed connection to the Freemasons.
