Scope and Content
The pamphlet recounts the joint struggle of the Albanian and Yugoslav armies in their fight against the "fascist conquerors". Despite their historic grievances they have joined forces against a common enemy. The difficult history of Albania, its occupation by the Turks, the Fan Noli uprising, and the Italian occupation are elaborated on. On November 28th, 1942, Italy put siege conditions on the country following an uprising during the summer. Partisan activities increased. After the retreat of the Italians the Germans moved in and installed a puppet government. After its liberation Albania intents to work peacefully with its neighbors despite frictions with Greece in the region of Chemeria. The new role of the Albanian woman is discussed in a separate chapter.
