Scope and Content

The booklet contains a speech by Wolfgang Langhoff on the aims of the resistance movement “Freies Deutschland” (Free Germany) which was created in Switzerland in August 1943. It was a sister organization of the Sowjet Nationalkommittee Freies Deutschland. This lecture was held in various Swiss cities after May 8th, 1945. The aims of the movement are the cessation of national socialism, revival of a democratic peace movement, support for the middle class, freedom and justice in a new Germany, and a commitment to restitution.
