Scope and Content

The document „The Nazi Creed and Catholicism“ by Irene Marinoff tells the story of the failing German Republic after World War 1 and the development of the Nazi-Governance. Because of the different ideologies of the Nazis and the catholic church there was a big disunity in the German population. The substitute for believing in good became the belief in “The Leader” Adolf Hitler, and so the totalitarian system displaced the religious system of Christian values and beliefs. Marinoff also writes about the Nazis recruiting young people to believe in their ideology by making them members of youth organizations, limiting Catholic influence on young minds.
