Scope and Content

The pamphlet contains extracts from a letter by an underground Communist worker in Germany describing and analyzing the mood of the German people during the first six months of Barbarossa. The author writes about first stirrings of discontent among the people, the desperate Nazi lies to keep the populace in line and the awful situation on the front lines with thousands of German casualties. A radio broadcast by Walter Ulbricht is printed in the back of the pamphlet.
