Sozialdemkratische und kommunistische Arbeiter im Konzentrationslager
Extent and Medium

Creator(s)
- Hirsch, Werner S. (author)
Scope and Content
The pamphlet discusses the situation and plight of social-democrats and communist workers in German concentration camps. Werner Hirsch describes the situation in Germany before the Nazi’s rise to power and his time in various prisons and camps after that. The slow “rapprochement” of socialists and communists to resist together was too little, too late. Socialists are considered to be enablers of the fascists. Various forms of torture of well-known communists by the Nazis are recounted in heroic terms.
